Exposurama Screenplay Contest Rules

Entrants must be 18 years or older to enter the contest.

Short Scripts must be 40 pages or less. Full length screenplays may not exceed 140 pages. Pilots may not exceed 60 pages. Scripts must be in industry standard format, in English.

The rights to the submitted screenplay should not have been previously optioned or sold.

Employees of Exposurama and the ISA, and their immediate families, are not eligible.

Screenplay submissions must be the original work of the applicant and may not be based, in whole or in part, on any other fictional or non-fictional material, published or unpublished, produced or unproduced for which the writer does not own rights.

Entries may be adapted from the applicant's original work, works in the public domain, and from works to which the author owns all film rights.

Under no circumstances will substitutions of corrected pages or new drafts of submitted screenplays be accepted.

Entry fees will not be returned or adjusted.

Collaborative work is accepted. One of the writing partners should be selected as the prime contact for all mailings.

Entrants must submit screenplays and payment online either through the EXPOSURAMA form, or through WITHOUTABOX.

The selection of the winner will be made by the Exposurama Judges Panel, and may not be contested.

Writer understands and accepts without reservation that he/she is an independent contractor and that Contest Administrators are not responsible for withholding any taxes or payments to any government agency, at any level, be it state, local or federal.

Writer understands that it is his/her sole responsibility to register Material with the U.S. Copyright Office and/or with the Writer’s Guild of America or the appropriate agency in his/her country.

You must retained at least one copy of the submitted material, and you understand that all material we receive cannot and will not be returned under any circumstances.

You have the option of including a one page synopsis of your screenplay.

EXPOSURAMA is not responsible for late or lost submissions.

 

By entering this contest and in the event you are declared a finalist of any kind, you understand and accept that we will be free to use your name, script title and likeness for advertising or promotional purposes
